iMedicor… making health information accessible.

iMedicor is the market's leading HIPAA-compliant solution for interoperable medical information exchange that is offered at no cost to physicians, healthcare providers, and patients.

Incorporated in 2001, iMedicor set out to create the “fix” for healthcare communications by finally making it possible for the healthcare community to utilize the Internet for communication between physicians, patients and healthcare providers in a secure environment.

What we do…

Within iMedicor, health information can be exchanged across disparate EMRs to communicate, collaborate and exchange medical records for referrals and patient consultations.

The iMedicor portal operates via secure messaging specifically designed to complement clinical workflow, and it delivers on the Obama Administration's call for an interoperable health information infrastructure allowing healthcare providers to become interconnected.

Today iMedicor’s powerful web portal allows physicians, patients and their office staffs to:

  • share files and images for referral purposes;
  • streamline workflow;
  • conduct e-consults with patients and other physicians;
  • utilize state-of-the-art online and mobile applications on their “smart phones”;
  • provide patient wellness and disease management information at the point of care;
  • interact electronically within the office or from the hospital / other remote location in a secure environment;
  • refill prescription renewals electronically;
  • patients can manage their own health records through iMedicor’s integration with Microsoft HealthVault.

According to studies published in The New England Journal of Medicine, less than 2% of U.S. hospitals use electronic records in all departments and only 17% of physicians have functioning digital systems. However, the move to paperless systems is expected to accelerate over the next five years as the federal government’s 2015 deadline for the adoption of digital medical records grows closer.

Many believe that the delay in going electronic is grounded in the fact that the hundreds of disparate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems will not be able to communicate. In addition, many physician practices see no benefit in going electronic because they know there is currently no way to exchange information outside of their own system.

iMedicor has solved that problem with technology that enables interoperability among disparate EMRs, medical practices and health systems.

iMedicor represents the first critical step in achieving the goals of the new Administration by facilitating electronic communication among physicians, healthcare providers and patients. For the first time, this type of technology is accessible and affordable for every health care organization in the country.
